The Byron Varsity Baseball team swept a doubleheader with Bendle on Thursday April 27. The Eagles gave up only two hits and zero runs in two games as they won 15-0 and 21-0.

In game one a late offensive surge for the Eagles powered them to a win as they scored 11 runs in the 4^th and 5^th innings to win 15-0. Payne Staton went 0-2 with three RBI’s and two runs scored, Jacob Murph went 1-2 with two RBI’s and Kyle Hulett, Zac Geiser and Hunter Richardson each had one hit and one RBI with scoring a combined 6 runs. On the mound Hunter Richardson got the win going 5 innings and giving up only two hits, no runs while striking out nine and walking two.

In game two an 11 run first inning sealed the win as the eagles scored 21 runs in three innings to earn the win. Hunter Richardson went 3-3 with an RBI and four runs scored. Tommy Murray went 2-2 with four RBIs and Jacob Green went 1-3 with a grand slam. Trey Pehrson, Payne Staton and Zac Geiser each had a hit and two RBI’s. On the mound Payne Staton fired a perfect game to earn the win giving up zero runs and no hits in three innings while striking out six and walking none.
