MORRICE MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL: 31
The Byron Girls Varsity Basketball team continues to make history this season beating Morrice 38-31 on Friday night for their first win against them since January 28, 2011. It was a tough game as Morrice contained the potent Byron offense and forced the Eagles to make many contested shots.
Leading the way for the Eagles on offense was Riley Gadola who had 10 points and 3 assists. Ashley Glass had 7 points and 2 steals, Madison Montgomery had 6 points, Maylee Hatt had 5 points and 8 rebounds, Haley Hooley had 4 points and 4 steals and Raegan Forgie had 2 points and 9 rebounds.
The Eagles are 10-1 overall and 4-0 in the GAC Blue. They travel to Bentley on 1/24 for another GAC Blue matchup.
